Questions
Before you commit.
Ingest is billed on compressed bytes received, not on event counts. A metric point, a span and a log line all cost what their bytes cost, so you never have to model three different units.
Nothing breaks. Overage is billed at the plan rate at the end of the month, and you can set a hard cap that starts dropping the lowest-priority data instead if you would rather have a ceiling than a bill.
No. Every plan includes unlimited users, dashboards and alerts. Charging per seat encourages teams to share logins, which is the opposite of what a security team wants.
Yes, in either direction. Upgrades take effect immediately and are prorated; downgrades take effect at the next billing cycle so you keep what you paid for.
Twenty percent off the platform fee and all overage rates. Annual plans can still burst above their committed volume without renegotiating.
